Rail transit Integrated Experiment Center is the important component of "clean energy vehicle" subject chain of Tongji University, one of the "modern intelligent transportation" subject group base, with the function of talent cultivation, researchment and testing, and a public platform on teaching and practice, researchment and testing opening and sharing for the whole society. The construction of the center is one of the most important part of " 985Project" of Tongji University.
The center is the unique integrated experiment system of rail transit in domestic universities, with a 790m long test line, a gradient line of 35‰, many kinds of rail structures, multi-mode extreme power supply system, open signal system,7 special testing subsystem of rail transit equipments, "three-station and two-section" operation control system, two trains with different marshalling formation.
The development goal of the center is to build testing base, inspection base and training base for rail transit equipments and operation control system with the international advanced and domestic leading level, and to supply necessary testing public platform on core technology researchment with independent intellectual property rights.
